Typically developing kids have countless opportunities to participate in competitive sports, whether it is during recess playing a game of pick-up basketball, or in an organized league. Children with disabilities would also benefit from competing in team sports, but unfortunately there are limited opportunities for them. We initiated our S.T.A.R.S. Adaptive Sports Program to give our kids with special needs a chance to play!!
Our enrolled children experience the following benefits:
Opportunities for social interaction
Improved physical fitness and health
Ability to develop discipline, and an
Improved self-concept.
Through participation in our year-long S.T.A.R.S. programs, our children with special needs actively adjust to their conditions and ENJOY BEING KIDS!!
